How to Prepare for Your Initial Consultation
Hiring a financial planner is an important decision in your life and must be built on a foundation of trust. SIS Investment Services will work with you to build an investment plan that works for you.
Generally, an initial consultation lasts 60 to 90 minutes. This confidential conversation is complimentary to you, as we believe it is critical that you find a financial planner that not only listens and asks the right questions, but one that you believe will meet (and hopefully exceed) your expectations.
During our meeting, you can expect us to ask questions about your goals, dreams and aspirations. Please begin thinking about what’s important to you and how your quality of life could improve if potential issues were addressed. Once we schedule an appointment, we will send you an information kit designed to help you gain an overview of the services SIS Investment Services offers, but even more importantly, it allows you to begin organizing quantitative components that affect your personal financial life. Once you receive this information, we ask that you complete the questionnaire before our appointment.
You may also find it helpful to bring the following items with you:
- Your most recent tax return
- Current investment, insurance and bank statements
- Employee benefit booklet(s)
- One month’s pay stubs
- Endorsement pages for life, disability, auto, homeowner’s and personal insurance
- Any estate planning documents such as: wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.
On behalf of SIS Investment Services, thank you for this opportunity to introduce our services to you. We look forward to building a long and successful financial planning relationship with you.
